A2 Tool Steel

A2 is a highly versatile general purpose tool steel with a combination of wear resistance and toughness. This steel material is used for cold-working applications including cutting equipment and high wear parts.

Key Attributes:

  • Sintered Hardness: 60 HRC
  • Wear Resistance between O1 and D2

D2 Tool Steel

D2 is a high carbon, high chromium tool steel that offers high hardness, compressive strength and wear resistance. This steel material is used for cold-work applications that require sharp edges and abrasion resistance.

Key Attributes:

  • Sintered Hardness: 54 HRC
  • Sintered Compressive Yield Strength: 830 MPa

H13 Tool Steel

H13 is a tool steel optimized for high-temperature and high-wear applications and can withstand drastic cooling. This, combined with the material’s abrasion resistance makes it ideal for mold applications.

Key Attributes:

  • Sintered Hardness: 45 HRC
  • Sintered Tensile Strength: 1420 MPa

Inconel 625

Inconel is a nickel-chromium-based superalloy that is resistant to corrosion and high temperatures. This metal material makes for good functional prototypes and end-use parts for harsh environments.

Key Attributes:

  • Sintered Hardness: 7 HRC
  • Sintered Tensile Strength: 765 MPa

17-4 PH Stainless Steel

This steel material is stiff, hard and resists corrosion. It is excellent for manufacturing environments and for low volume end-use parts.

Pure copper is a soft, ductile metal known for its high thermal and electrical conductivity. It is widely used in heat exchangers and electrical applications.

This is the support material used in the printing and sintering processes for metal applications. It is easily separated from the part after the sintering process.
